Position Description: Broadcast Maintenance Engineer. Duties include the installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all facility electronic equipment. Occasional operations duties. Shifts may include evenings and weekends.
Education Requirements: College degree in electronics, computer science, or equivalent experience.

Position Description: WJW Television Cleveland has an immediate opening for an Assistant Chief Engineer. The successful candidate will assist the Chief Engineer in the oversight of all aspects of the engineering department including the technical and physical plants at the studio and transmitter facilities, technical staff and operating budgets. Monitor and follow-up of operational issues, quality control and union compliance. Research and purchasing of new equipment and parts.
"Minimum Knowledge, Skill &/or Abilities: Extensive experience and a thorough working knowledge of serial digital video and audio, ATSC and ASI streams, compression, storage and transmission, VOIP, ENG field acquisition, editing systems, RF, video recording & playback systems, automation, control room systems, studio production and information technology. Supervision of the maintenance technicians. Supervision of the staff's scheduling, time cards, and sick-out replacements. Familiarity and experience with traditional and emerging technologies relevant to broadcasting and web publishing. Strong organizational skills, self motivation and the ability to multitask. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Research, testing and evaluation of new technologies. Conception, design and documentation of improvements to existing studio systems. Constant evaluation and improvement of the on-air product and related workflow issues."
Education Requirements: College degree and 5 years professional experience required.
