Family Feud: Politician's Parents Call 911 Over Son's Messy Room
BEDFORD, Ohio -- A local politician's messy room is making national headlines. Bedford School Board member Andrew Mizsak ended up in the spotlight, after a fight with his parents at the home they share on Santin Circle.

Police say Mizsak's 63-year-old father called 9-1-1 last Thursday after his son threw a temper tantrum when the elder Mizsak asked him to clean his bedroom in the basement of the home.

The dispatcher became concerned when he heard screaming and then someone hung up the phone. Andrew Mizsak's father would later tell police that his son threw a plate full of food across the table and threatened him.

But Mr. Mizsak said he would not press charges because "I do not want to ruin his political career." According to a police report, the younger Mizsak was "crying uncontrollably", but agreed to go to his room and clean it as his father had requested.

Mizsak says he regrets that police had to deal with the family squabble, telling Fox Eight "just want to say it's a personal private family issue and it's been resolved and it's over."

Mizsak says he's fortunate to have the parents he has, adding that "my dad and I love each other very much."
