GRANGER TOWNSHIP. Ohio -- Thursday's severe weather is being blamed for a car crash that killed two people.

It happened just after 6 p.m. Thursday evening, when a car driven by Stephen Kenna, 39, of Barberton, hydroplaned on State Route 18 in Medina County.

Kenna's car was then struck by a Chevy Tahoe, traveling in the opposite direction.

Both Kenna, and his passenger, Cory Wheeler, 23, of Barberton, were killed.

Witneses say the crash was horrific.

"I couldn't stop lookin at it, just praying that everyone was ok," said Rochelle Mello.

Troopers say both drivers appeared to be traveling the speed limit and they blame the weather for the fatal crash.
