CANTON-- A Norton man is under arrest after a deadly hit -and-run accident early Saturday morning.
Around 2:30 a.m., a passerby called police after seeing a man and a bicycle lying along the 1600 block of East Maple Street.
The victim is 27-year-old Craig Kapper, of North Canton.
North Canton Police tell FOX 8 News, "The driver involved in the hit skip, Joseph Klaus, drove to his home in Norton and told his parents he had been in an accident. When Klaus' parents took him back to the scene of the crime, investigators were still there collecting evidence. Klaus was immediately taken into custody."
Joseph Klaus has been charged with aggravated vehicular homicide and driving under the influence. He is currently being held in the The Stark County Jail
An investigation is currently pending by the Canton/Stark County Crime Lab.
