Massillon- Stump Hill Exotic Animal Farm in Massillon is home to more than 300 wild animals, from grizzly bears to reindeer.

Cyndi and Lee Huntsman founded the non-profit exotic animal farm 26 years ago.

The problem now is, more animals are coming in at an alarming rate.

Cyndi says they've taken in 80 news animals in the past two years.

Loss of funding for some municipal zoos are part of the problem and so is the high rate of foreclosure and job losses.

But finding a safe place for these animals is another problem.

"Unfortunately, there's no wild left, even on the preserves that are set aside for the wild animals, they're poached more vigirously there than anywhere they roam," said Huntsman.

Stump Hill has a vet on staff, and about half a dozen volunteers that help take care of all of these animals.

Each year, the Huntsman's open their farm to local school children and they also give private tours.

The Huntsman's pay $80,000 a year in food alone and $32,000 in heating costs.

The Huntsman's are also hosting a Casino Night fundraiser on Sat., Jan. 23 from 7:00 p.m. -12:00 a.m. at the Lousiville Eagles.

The cost is $20.00 per person and includes food, soft drinks, beer and well drinks.
