MEDINA -- The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal motorcycle accident that happened Saturday afternoon in Liverpool Township.

The OSHP tells Fox 8 News that around 4:28 p.m. Saturday, a 2007 Harley Davidson failed to negotiate a curve on SR 252, just south of West Law Road.

The motorcycle traveled off the right side of the road, and struck a ditch. The driver, 46-year-old Charles M. Gaydos of Chippewa Lake, was ejected from his motorcycle and subsequently died from his injuries. He was not wearing a helmet.

Officers from the OSHP Medina post are still investigating the crash. It is unknown at this time if alcohol/drugs were a contributing factor in the accident.
