Browns GM Kokinis Out of the Pound
CLEVELAND - He's out. The Cleveland Browns confirmed to Fox 8 News Monday that General Manager George Kokinis, is "no longer actively involved with the organization."

Amidst rampant rumors that Kokinis was escorted out of the building, the Browns say the gossip holds no water. A statement sent by Public Relations Coordinator, Dan Murphy says, "In response to rumors and reports that Kokinis was escorted out of the building today, the Browns deny those reports."

The team also stays mum on details behind the split. The statement concludes, "In the interest of protecting the parties involved we will withhold further comment."

On Monday, Browns owner Randy Lerner said he wanted to hire a "strong, credible, serious" football adviser.

Kokinis was hired back in January, just a few weeks after Eric Mangini was named coach.

A press conference with Mangini is expected to start at 10:20 a.m., Tuesday morning.
