Local "American Idol" contestant Crystal Bowersox wowed the judges as she hopes to become the next "American Idol." Crystal is from Elliston, which is near Port Clinton.

Idol judge Simon Cowell told Crystal, "You're infectious. People like you. So you have a head start."

Crystal will now move on with the other 95 contestants.
