ROCKY RIVER, Ohio -- Rocky River Police say 39-year-old Assad Shaheen set out to seek revenge on his former boss.

Authorities say on the night of Dec. 18th, Shaheen's former boss -- who Fox 8 News is not naming in this report -- returned to his Spencer Rd. home, just after 9 p.m.

According to the police report, Shaheen was hiding in the bushes at his home. When [the former employer] got out of his car, police say Shaheen jumped out, gun in hand, and ordered his former boss inside his home.

While inside Shaheen accused him of ruining his life by firing him, police say.

Shaheen used to work for the victim at City Blue, a retail clothing store in East Cleveland.

According to the police report, Shaheen was fired because he couldn't get along with other employees.

The ex-boss tried valiantly to get him to focus on something else while being held at gunpoint. His solution? Ordering a pizza.

"He says hey I'm hungry I'm going to order a pizza," said Det. Sgt. Carl Gulas of the Rocky River Police Department.

Surprisingly, Shaheen didn't stop him and 20 minutes later, a pizza delivery man was at the door.

That's when the former employer made his escape. Police say he ran out the door as the delivery man delivered the pizza.

The victim then ran to a Giant Eagle grocery store down the street and called police.

Rocky River Police quickly responded to the home of Shaheen's former boss. But what they saw is hard to believe...Shaheen was still inside.

He was arrested on a handful of charges, including kidnapping and aggravated burglary.

A gun was later discovered in the victim's backyard.

"This was very serious and fortunately nobody got hurt," said Det. Sgt. Gulas.

Shaheen is currently out of jail on bond.
