CANTON, Ohio (AP) -
A man charged with killing his two young children and his former mother-in-law wants his murder trial moved out of his Ohio hometown.
Attorneys for 35-year-old James Mammone III say he cannot get a fair trial in Canton because of extensive media coverage and public comment on the case.
Mammone has pleaded not guilty, and a trial is scheduled for January. If convicted, he could face the death penalty.
Prosecutors expect to file a response arguing against relocating the trial. One prosecutor says it would be premature to move the proceedings without first trying to select an impartial jury.
