CLEVELAND -
People who bought tickets at the Playhouse Square State Theater, go a lot more than they paid for Tuesday.
During a performance of the Broadway play "Wicked," Cleveland Police say a woman in the audience, Kathleen Holmes of Rock Creek, started screaming obscenities and refused to leave the theater.
And her timing couldn't have been worse. A spokesperson from the theater says she disrupted a rather intimate moment.
"It's a point in the show where she sings about this guy she's pursuing, it's called 'I'm not that Girl' and it's a very soft ballad, so a very touching moment in the show," said Steve Citerin, of Playhouse Square.
But, it seems the audience was more impressed with the professionalism of the actress on stage.
The performer playing the part of Elphaba that night, the "green" witch, was understudy Meredith Kaye Clark.
While an undercover police officer pulled a seemingly drunken Holmes from her seat, Clark kept right on singing!
"Everybody heard it," said Cintron. "The actress heard it as well and to her testament, she continued on with the show, didn't let it rattle her in any way, and the audience recognized that and gave her a standing ovation."
Cleveland police arrested Holmes on a handful of charges, including assaulting a police officer.
Holmes was in court Thursday morning, charged with a fourth degree felony.
Fox 8 News tried to contact Holmes but she did not return our phone calls.
Wicked is in town through Sunday.
