MEDINA, Ohio -
An alleged assault by brothers set off a series of events that resulted with the two of them, their father and another person being arrested and charged with various crimes, Fox 8 News reports.
John Seamon, 39, and his brother, Steve Seamon, 38, both of Medina, were each charged with felonious assault. Steve was also charged with obstructing official business.
Police believe that John and Steve came out of their Oak Street home and assaulted a man who suffered a bruised face and eye. John was armed at the time. The duo fled the scene shortly thereafter.
A search warrant was executed at the house, seizing a bloody towel and bloody clothing from what is believed to be John's bedroom. Drug paraphernalia was also seized.
Steve was arrested at the house during the search, but John had again fled.
The search for John Seamon continued at his father's home, also on Oak Street. There, police searched the residence and discovered a marijuana-growing operation and several firearms, all of which were seized.
James Seamon, 62 -- the father of John and Steve -- was arrested and eventually charged with obstructing official business, drug abuse and drug paraphernalia. Also busted was Jodie Barry, 37, of Spencer. She was also charged with drug paraphernalia.
Several deputy U.S. marshals from the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force joined the Medina Police Department in searching for John Seamon, who was captured after authorities received information that he was hiding at a house in Lodi. He was arrested without incident.
The brothers are now locked up in the Medina County Jail and will appear in Medina Municipal Court later on Monday. James Seamon and Jodie Barry were both given summons for their charges and released on their own recognizance.
The investigation continues and additional charges are expected.
