Men Plead Guilty to Hiring 14-year-old at Strip Club
RAVENNA, Ohio -- Two Ravenna men plead guilty today to their roles in the hiring of a 14-year-old girl, who was a dancer in a strip club.

Christopher Wier, 34, of Ravenna, plead guilty to a fourth degree felony charge of child endangering, according to Summit County Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh.

Wier was sentenced by Judge Elinore Stormer to a 10 month suspended prison term with one year community control.

In April of 2009, Akron Police raided the 'Playhouse Strip Club' on a drug warrant. During the raid it was discovered that Wier, the manager of the strip club, hired the 14-year-old girl to be a dancer.

According to police, the girl had given Wier fake identification. Wier hired the girl on the spot and she started dancing that very night.

The owner of the night club, Robert Mitchell, 34, of Ravenna, plead guilty to a fifth degree felony charge of obstructing justice.

Mitchell was sentenced to 10 months in prison suspended for two-years of community control.

While on community control Mitchell can not be involved in any kind of sexually oriented businesses, including a strip club.
