ELYRIA, Ohio - A gasoline thief in Lorain County picked the wrong parking lot from which to steal, Fox 8 News reports.

Jarod Price, 29, of Lorain, was caught siphoning gas from a Jeep parked outside of the Lorain County Justice Center in Elyria.

When sheriff's deputies walked up to the suspect, they noticed that one end of a hose was in the vehicle's gas tank and the other end was in Price's mouth.

Price initially told authorities that the Jeep belonged to his girlfriend, and that she had given him permission.

When deputies ran the license number, however, they discovered that the vehicle was actually registered to a male court employee.

Price has been charged with criminal trespassing and theft.
