Major Greg Englund with the Huron County Sheriff's Department tells Fox 8 News, Calvin Riley, 14, was reported missing by his parents at 6:33 am on Thursday.
According to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department, Riley was spotted in a church parking lot just before 3 p.m. today. He was sleeping in the front seat of a stolen truck.
Authorities took him into custody, where he is being held in a Sandusky county juvenile detention center.
Earlier a detective saw the 1994 GMC pickup truck, reported stolen from a Moriah Road residence, east of Oak Harbor, he said, and asked for deputies to respond once the vehicle was ID'd.
According to Maj. Englund, at 6:30 am a 1994 GMC pickup truck was reported missing from a home on Moriah Road. The Riley family and the family that owns the truck are friends, their homes are less than two miles away from each other. Major Englund says Calvin Riley is the only suspect in the theft of the truck.
In May, Riley wrote a threatening note that shut down Norwalk Catholic School. The note named 33 faculty and students at the school.
After Riley learned school officials were aware of his note, he stole a neighbor's truck and a .22-caliber rifle with a scope and drove 530 miles to Dayton, Tennessee, north of Chattanooga, where he was taken into custody.
Riley was charged with inducing panic and two counts of theft. He also was ordered to immediately undergo a full psychological examination.
In August, Riley was ordered to perform 75 hours of volunteer work and told to have no contact with any individual from Norwalk Catholic School.
At his sentencing, Huron County Juvenile Court Judge Timothy Cardwell credited Riley with serving 15 days of detention, so no additional detention stay was ordered.
Calvin Riley faces charges of receiving stolen property, vehicle theft, and breaking and entering in connection with today's events.
