ELYRIA, Ohio -- The Lorain County Tuberculosis Clinic alerted school officials Wednesday, that a student at Elyria High School has tested positive for Tuberculosis (TB).

Elyria High School Principal Darren Conley quickly sent out a letter to parents, informing them of the situation and teachers and staff at the school were given a TB skin test yesterday.

Students will have a chance to get a TB test at school, next Monday and Tuesday.

While there is no indication at this time that anyone else at the school has TB, school officials are urging parents to get their children tested.

Tonight, the LCTC will host an information meeting about TB at Elyria High School, 601 Middle Ave., starting at 7 p.m.

We're told the student with TB has been out of school for some time now and is recovering at home.
