WOOSTER, Ohio -- Police identified a husband and wife found dead in their Bever Street home as Robert Baker, 45, and Polly Baker, 45.

The bodies were discovered on Friday and police said their six children were in the house when they died. According to police, the children range in age from 3 to 13-years-old.

Alex Lowry and her husband live a few doors down from where the bodies were found. "I left for an appointment this morning around 9 and there was one police car in the driveway," said Lowry. "And by the time I came home, around 9:45, there were several police cars here and a lot of people milling around and at that point, I was clued-in that something was going wrong."

According to police, they were called by the husband's co-worker who received an e-mail asking her to get help and take care of the children. "They were constantly outside playing," said Kevin Lowry. "They all went to the local elementary school which is about a block-and-a-half away from here, so they walked passed our house, generally, on a daily basis."

A neighbor who didn't want to be identified says the family moved into the house a few months ago and the wife had health problems and was recovering from a recent surgery.

"It was an absolute shock," said Kevin Lowry. "That kind of thing just doesn't happen in Wooster."

The Wayne County Coroner says the husband died from a stab wound but his wife's cause of death is still unknown because there's no sign of trauma. Police say it is a possible case of murder-suicide, but it's still under investigation.

"It's a little overwhelming, it's a little scary," said Alex Lowry. "Really, my main thoughts are with the kids. It's really sad to know those six kids are now without their parents."

All six children are now in state care pending their release to a relative.
