RICHMOND HEIGHTS, Ohio -
The boil alert that had been in effect for six northeast Ohio cities was lifted Thursday night after a massive water main break in Richmond Heights 24 hours prior.
Police say Highland Heights, Lyndhurst, Mayfield, Mayfield Heights, Richmond Heights and South Euclid all lost water Wednesday night due to a 48-inch water main break on Trebisky Road in Richmond Heights.
A spokesperson for the city of Cleveland's Division of Water tells Fox 8 News that water pressure issues appear to be the cause of the break at this time.
Reports regarding the water main break started to come in after 10 p.m. Wednesday. Officials say that everyone should now have water. However, homeowners might notice low pressure or a discoloration.
