A tiny toy hamster is this year's hottest toy. It's called the Zhu Zhu Pet, and if you want one, good luck!

"I've been to Target and Wal-Mart and I went to Big Lots and I don't think I've seen not one," said one local shopper.

The little hamsters move and coo and if you buy the accessories, the Zhu Zhu can drive a car, slide down slides, and even be put to bed.

If you are lucky enough to find a Zhu Zhu in stores, you will be pleasantly surprised with the price.

The toys retail for around eight dollars, but online, on sites like Amazon.com and E-Bay, they are selling for upwards of 50 dollars.

Target and other large retailers say they don't know when they will get in more shipments of the Zhu Zhu, but they've been getting about a handful of the fury critters every few days.

Some parents say they won't give up until they find a Zhu Zhu, to put under their Christmas tree!

"This is a mission," said one local shopper.

"It's an eight dollar toy and it's not going to defeat me."
