HUDSON, Ohio -
A student at a local high school has confirmed to Fox 8 news that he was diagnosed with the H1N1 or Swine flu.
Erick Pringle, a senior at Hudson High schools, said he started feeling ill last Monday and took flu tests at a doctor's office on Wednesday. "We got the results back on Friday. They were confirmed from the CDC and the Summit County Board of Health. It was, in fact, H1N1," Pringle said.
Pringle has returned to the school and says he is now feeling "close to one hundred percent."
Hudson High School encourages all students and staff to practice safe hygiene, including frequently washing hands and coughing into sleeves.
Everyone with symptoms of H1N1 or the seasonal flu is being urged to stay home.
