Phyllis Harman, Administrative Assistant for Patient Conditions at Metro, tells Fox 8 News that Jory Abely, 26, has been upgraded to good condition by the doctors providing his care.
According to Cleveland Police both Abely and his friend Jeremy Pechanec, 28, were shot in the head following an apparent robbery. The two were celebrating a co-worker's birthday at Scorchers Bar in Reserve Square. Police say the pair was attacked as they left the bar. Pechanec died at MetroHealth Medical Center.
According to Cleveland Police Lt. Thomas Stacho, 17-year-old Ralfeal King; the accused trigger man, 27-year-old Reginald Day, 25-year-old Cornelius King and 19-year-old Perry King have all been charged with aggravated murder, attempted murder and aggravated robbery in the attack on Pechanec and Abely.
Perry King and Reginald Day are from Cleveland, Stacho says. Cornelius King has an address listed in Columbus, but regularly resides in Cleveland.
Cornelius, Perry and the Raffael King are brothers, and Reginald is their cousin, says Reginald's sister Aylonda Day.
