BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, Ohio -- A man traveling the wrong way on a Brooklyn Heights interstate, strikes and kills a man.
Brooklyn Heights Police say the accident happened around 5:00 Thursday morning, when Pete Harhalos, 36 of Parma, was traveling eastbound on 480 West.
Police say he struck and killed Matthew Dzurenko, 49 of Aurora. Harhalos is now in custody at the Brooklyn Heights jail and he is suspected of drinking and driving.
Brooklyn Heights Police Chief Joseph Kocab said this accident is particularly tragic. "The victim had a family that loved him and now the Fourth of July holiday will forever be tainted with this tragic accident," said Kocab.
